J’s Stance on genAI
J: Fuck that shit
More seriously, I will never use genAI in my writing process, whether that is drafting, editing, revising, marketing, etc. I also will only work with human artists. Part of the reason I am an indie author is because I want to ensure that all my projects are completed with human hands and human minds. Robots should be making our lives easier, not stealing from artists, destroying the environment, and making it harder to tell truth from lies. If you think that some art I’ve commissioned was made using AI, please reach out to me. Generally speaking all my art is from my friends so it’s rare that I do commission out, but if I do and you think something is off, I would like to know.
J, Why Don’t You Show Your Face?
J: First of all, rude of you to ask. Secondly, this is related to my stance on genAI. People can take a photo of your face now and put it on a body that isn’t yours, make you say things you never said, etc. I don’t want my likeness to be used to cause harm, and while it does make it a little harder to film and promote things, I don’t trust the wide internet with my face, sorry!
