What does it mean to be a hero?

Welcome to East Tech, the world’s only superhero training program. Join Kirin and his classmates as they try to figure out how to be heroes, when all the world would rather see them as villains.

BOOK 1 PREVIEW
Inspired by @bradleybowen that it’s never too late to do a trend, even months later! I have so many things going behind the scenes for book 3 that I have been horribly negligible on here, so expect some easy silly content in the next few weeks until the draft goes out to beta readers! It’s TIIIIIME. I love when I get to just do spooky books for a whole month and we’ve already started off strong with Astarion by @redwombatstudio and The Minimalist by @kailee_pedersen both of which were fantastic. Yes, I am counting danmei as spooky because Wu Xingxue is an archfiend. I also have coming in the mail Dead Pretty by @thenottinghamhorrorcollective which I cannot wait for. What spooky books are you waiting to read this October? And have you read any of the ones I’m planning on reading? HELLOOO and welcome to October! We have some great spooky season reads packed into this issue (plenty of vampire between @samsilberberg.author and @mdantesinferno , witches from @harperthewitch and @lavendellebooks , and all the monsters you could want from @bgrimmauthor and @m.l.eaden ) and even one looking further ahead to winter! I had so many people submit for this issue and I couldn’t fit everyone but we got quite a few in here! A huge happy release day to @katebaderauthor , @lavendellebooks , and @ludwig.rhodes.author — go run and get your copies of their books! I also want to shout out my vetting team for helping me make sure we’re keeping Indie News Today entirely human made <3 now if you excuse me, I’m going to be applying for ARCs and reading our new releases for the rest of the day.
